This Emerging Leaders leadership development curriculum can be adapted to different formats. The online course is part of my personal and group leadership coaching packages. It can also be adapted to organizational training needs and combined with regular synchronous meetings. Module 1:
Who are you? What kind of leader are you?
You’ll have the opportunity to meet and get to know your leadership coaching course cohort.
We’ll begin by answering the question “What is Leadership?”
Module 2:
An Introduction to Adaptive Leadership
You’ll learn how to discern between technical and adaptive challenges and begin to see yourself as an instrument for positive change.
Module 3:
An Introduction to System Psychodynamics
You’ll review the basic concepts of System Psychodynamics and gain a deeper understanding of:
BART (Boundaries, Role, and Task)
Leadership and Followship
Authority from above, below, and within
Defense mechanisms (individual and group)
Basic Assumptions
Module 4:
Organizational Culture, Communication and Conflict
You’ll learn to define organizational culture and discuss its impact on task performance, individual and group behavior.
Module 5:
Diagnosing and Changing the System
You’ll learn how to diagnose systems through stakeholder analysis. This will strengthen your ability to diagnose the political landscape within an organization and understanding of the qualities of an adaptive organization.
You’ll also explore Organizational Change and Resistance to Change. This will help you to make insightful interpretations, design effective interventions, and gain a deeper understanding of how organizational change can generate anxiety and resistance.
You’ll learn about Networks and how to leverage your network more effectively.
